Carmen Valle-Trabadelo, Co-Chair IASC RG on MHPSS in Emergency Settings, will be teaching a the IOM - UN Migration Summer School on Psychosocial Interventions in Migration, Emergency and Displacement.
The course will provide an understanding of the psychosocial dimension of migration, displacement and crises, while presenting harmonized ethics, approaches and tools associated with psychosocial support, based on IOM experiences and rationale of work.
The course will enable participants to acknowledge the complexity of MHPSS interventions in crisis situations and during the migration process, conceptualize holistic responses, understand the interrelation of the different sectorial responses and gain advanced specific knowledge in mainstreaming MHPSS in each sector of intervention.
Carmen will be providing lectures on IASC MHPSS Guidelines and Humanitarian Response and MHPSS Needs Assessments and Mapping.
