Anyone who has gone through a disaster or crisis will likely have experienced what is called extreme stress, which usually leads to very unpleasant reactions. This file is comprised of two documents. One document reviews the most common types of reactions to extreme stress and crisis and comes up with suggestions on how to best cope through situations of extreme stress. The other reviews children’s reactions to stress and crisis situations and how parents and adults can best support their children in this context.
