Building a connected society: What works for refugees?

This is a half-day conference exploring policy and practice responses to refugee social connectedness and integration by the Institute for Global Health & Development (IGHD), Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

This conference will employ multiagency panels to increase dialogue around the challenges to person-centred refugee and asylum seeker integration planning. The panel discussions will explore policy and practice responses to refugee social connectedness and integration in wider communities. The panels - each followed by an open roundtable dialogue among conference participants - will showcase the varying perspectives on the role of social connections in integration policy and practice. During the conference we will hear from policymakers and service providers or coordinators, from the UK and internationally, who have a key role supporting refugees and asylum seekers as they live, work and socialise in the wider community.

PS Centre Technical Advisor Anouk Boschma is participating in this conference.
