The Global Mental Health Summit (GMHS) will be held on the 13th and 14th of October in Rome. Following the previous events in London, Amsterdam and Paris, the summit builds upon Italy’s internationally recognised leadership in community mental health and deinstitutionalisation.
The PS Centre Co-Chair IASC RG on MHPSS in Emergency Settings, Carmen Valle-Trabadelo, will coordinate a session on emergencies preparedness as part of the program. Shona Whitton, Technical Advisor at the PS Centre will be speaking in a session on work force mental health, coordinated by the IFRC.
The GMHS, in collaboration with the World Health Organization, aims to pursue the ambitious roadmap, launched in London in 2018, by increasing mental health awareness, and commitment among policymakers and society.
