Psycholgocial First Aid for Vaccine Hesitancy (Asia Pacific Region)

The aim of this online training is:
  • to learn or deepen PFA skills to supportively respond to people who are vaccine hesitant to the COVID-19 vaccine, and
  • to build or deepen skills in demonstrating empathy and understanding, especially with others who may have different viewpoints or values.
Pre-requisites:
  • All participants are required to have basic training and have a foundational knowledge of Psychological First Aid and how it can be applied in the response to the COVID-19 crisis
  • The training will be run online over ZOOM so reliable internet connection, active participation for the full 3 hours, and a quiet learning environment for yourself and fellow trainees is essential
  • The pilot course will be run in English, so strong English language skills are necessary
  • Following the 3-hour course, participants will be required to complete a short anonymous feedback form with suggestions to strengthen the training.
  Melanie Powell, Technical Advisor for the IFRC Psychosocial Centre will be the trainer of this closed online training.
