Sarah is the Team Leader for the MHPSS Advisors team within the IFRC PS Centre. She also has responsibility for humanitarian diplomacy with Movement partners, Government actors and with other humanitarian agencies/ organisations. She supports strategic processes within the PS Centre and the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement more broadly, and externally represents the PS Centre in various forums and meetings.

Pia has the overall responsibility of managing the ‘Integrated Model for Supervision’ (IMS) project funded by USAID as well as the ‘MHPSS for displaced people coming from Ukraine’ funded by EU (DG Santé). Pia is also an experienced facilitator, coach and PFA trainer. Furthermore, Pia shares the overall responsibility for the IFRC PS Centre’s financial management with the Director.

Carmen Valle-Trabadelo

Carmen is the Co-Chair for the IASC Reference Group for MHPSS in Emergencies, dedicated to the global Inter-Agency coordination of MHPSS response in humanitarian emergencies. In this role, she supports all organisations delivering MHPSS in emergencies as they collaborate to coordinate efforts, develop joint resources, and advocate. She also provides technical advice to country level coordination teams. Carmen is also responsible for Humanitarian Diplomacy, Policy, and Advocacy at the PS Centre.

Ea is the technical advisor for the European Region, MHPSS-EN board member, emergency response and involved in various projects as https://whocares-pss.info/. Engaged in producing social media content, manuals, and training materials. Master trainer in MHPSS.

Eliza Yee Lai Cheung

Eliza is the technical advisor mainly supporting the Asia Pacific (AP) region. She leads the Asia Pacific MHPSS Training and Learning Collaborative, a tripartite establishment by the PS centre, IFRC AP Regional Office, and the Hong Kong Red Cross branch. The Collaborative also serves as the secretariat of the AP MHPSS Network, a platform for national societies in the region to learn and exchange from the peers.

Ahlem Cheffi

Ahlem is a clinical psychologist and has a background in providing direct MHPSS in humanitarian settings (for refugees and people on the move and in emergency maternal and new-born child health contexts (MNCH)). Ahlem is the IFRC PS Centre technical advisor for the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA). Ahlem is currently the focal person for Community-based mental health care and the Thinking Healthy training curricula. Ahlem speaks Arabic, English, French and Spanish.

Guleed Dualeh

Guleed is the technical advisor for the African Region and the Psychological First Aid focal point. He has 10 years’ experience in providing MHPSS coordination in humanitarian settings in the African region and Asia Pacific as well as staff health. He is the PS Centre representative of Working Group 3 in the MHPSS Roadmap project focusing on ensuring staff and volunteer wellbeing. He provides training and supervision on key approaches in the PS Centre. Guleed speaks Danish, English, Somali and German.

Ganna Goloktionova

Ganna is the Technical Advisor working on the EU4health project. In this role she is capacitating the National Societies of Ukraine’s neighboring countries in PFA and Caring for staff and volunteers. She is a focal point for the Scalable Psychological Interventions. Her background is Social Sciences with extensive experience in MHPSS in emergency and development settings in conflict and post-conflict areas.

Sarah Kate van der Walt

Sarah Kate is the technical adviser on the REFUGE-ED project which aims to integrate MHPSS into Education approaches with refugee and migrant children. Sarah Kate is the Co-Lead for the MHPSS Research Network and Co-chair of Working Group 4 in the MHPSS Roadmap project focusing on research, evidence, monitoring and evaluation. She is the PS Centre focal point for migration and research. Sarah Kate has worked as a technical adviser and researcher in the Middle East, Central Asia and South Africa.

Shona Whitton

Shona is the Technical Adviser and PS Centre focal point for emergencies, climate change, protection, gender, and inclusion (PGI), and monitoring and evaluation. She is also the Co-chair of Working Group 1 in the MHPSS Roadmap project which is focusing on ensuring, and integrating, basic PSS across the RCRC Movement. Shona has background in disaster management and psychology and joined the PS Centre following more than 10 years with Australian Red Cross.

Cátia Matos

Cátia has a clinical background in providing direct and psychosocial support to humanitarian staff, locally and in the field, as well as training, and individual and team supervision. At the PS Centre, she is a Technical Advisor in the Integrated Model of Supervision project and the focal point for the Americas Regions. Additionally, Catia has over 15 years of experience working as a Clinical Psychologist and Regional Staff Counsellor in respectively Portugal and Sudan.

Arz Stephan

Arz is the MHPSS Adviser and PS Centre focal point for EU4Health programme and he is the portfolio lead on youth mental health and child focused MHPSS. He speaks English, Arabic and French with some Spanish and Dutch. He joined the PS Centre following more than 10 years’ experience in child and youth focused programming in conflict affected areas.

Joshua Lee

Joshua is the MHPSS Technical Advisor working on the EU4Health programme. He comes with humanitarian and MHPSS experience in Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, and Ukraine, working with conflict-affected and displaced populations. Joshua has a background in clinical social work and brings a focus on community-based MHPSS.

Mark Latona

Mark supports the PS Centre with fundraising and partnerships in close cooperation with the comms team. He has a background in global development studies, and he has worked with institutional fundraising and partnerships for global health research in the public sector, private sector and academia. Mark has worked with a wide range of topics including infectious diseases, WASH, chronic joint conditions, oncology, and medical devices.

Sabina Dziadecka Gråbæk

Sabina is a Project Manager on the EU4Health project. Her responsibilities include coordination with internal and external project stakeholders, financial monitoring, reporting, project monitoring and evaluation, and information management. Sabina has a background in social science and international studies and brings with her 12 years of experience in project management, donor compliance, and monitoring and evaluation for a variety of donors.

Nathalie has the overall responsibility of coordinating the MHPSS Roadmap implementation internally in the Movement through the Interim Structure coordination, the five working groups and the Steering Committee. Further, the project manager has the responsibility to disseminate the MHPSS Policy, Resolution and Roadmap. Hence, Movement components are very welcome to request presentations on these topics.

Nick Ockenden is responsible for the project management of REFUGE-ED (https://www.refuge-ed.eu/), an EU-funded project developing new knowledge, resources and tools for migrant and refugee children, their families and communities. Nick has a background in project management and coordination, research, monitoring and evaluation, both within Denmark and the UK.

Barbara Levin

Barbara supports the role of the IFRC co-chair in aspects related to communication, information management and coordination of events and trainings at both global and country level. This includes supporting the coordination and communication efforts of the interagency MHPSS Technical Working Groups, co-organising and planning MHPSS trainings and advocacy events, and disseminating the monthly IASC MHPSS Reference Group newsletters.

Shah has been working in financial management for various national and international organizations (HQ & field offices) for more than 12 years. At the PS Centre, Shah is responsible for supporting project managers with the financial management of a variety of donor-funded projects. Shah is also supporting the financial management of the entire PS Centre - including annual budgeting, annual financial statements, etc. Furthermore, Shah is coordinating recruitment processes and other HR-related tasks.

Andreas Heyd

Andreas coordinates global large-scale projects and drives cross-functional and interdisciplinary initiatives of the IFRC PS Centre in various socially relevant areas. He advises senior management on strategic issues across all functions and manages a wide range of international key stakeholders from the private, public, political and non-governmental sector.
