Hong Kong Red Cross Branch of Red Cross Society of China has translated the four training modules on Psychological First Aid produced by the IFRC Psychosocial Centre.

There are more than one billion Chinese speakers in the world. Now they have access to the information and relevant training materials about Psychological First Aid. These resources facilitate Chinese speaking members of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies as well as other organisations in developing PFA trainings and applying the evidence-based actions to support people in distress due to various critical incidents and disasters“, says Eliza Cheung, clinical psychologist at Hong Kong Red Cross and Technical Advisor for the IFRC Psychosocial Centre

Psychological First Aid for Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies has been developed for the staff and volunteers of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and other organizations working in situations where psychological first aid (PFA) may be relevant. Psychological first aid is a direct response and set of actions to help someone in distress.

The introduction guide, A guide to Psychological First Aid, is now available in six different languages in the PS Centre resource library
