PS Centre staff

One 1 June 2016 the PS Centre welcomed its newest team member, Martin Rosenkilde Pedersen who has taken up the position as Senior Fundraising and Partnership manager. Martin joins the 10 persons strong team in Copenhagen. During the last half year the PS Centre has been strengthened by an additional technical advisor, Sarah Harrison, who also coordinates the IASC Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergency Settings co-chair. Research and knowledge management is also an increased focus area for the PS Centre, and Camila Perera has taken up a temporary position as Knowledge Management Assistant to assist with data collection in research projects and documentation of the PS Centre activities. Anne Mette Niebuhr has taken up a new fundraising position focusing on building new partnerships with private foundations in order to improve the sustainability of the PS Centre’s core activities.

Technical advisors

There are three technical advisors in the PS Centre covering different geographic and thematic areas. Ea Suzanne Akasha is the focal point for Europe, Africa and Americas. Louise Vinther-Larsen is the focal point for Asia-Pacific and Mena. Sarah Harrison does not cover a specific geographical area but provides technical support in emergencies, facilitate trainings and reviews materials in addition to her tasks as coordinator of the IASC MHPSS RG Co-chair.

Additionally, Eliza Cheung of Hong Kong Red Cross has been appointed part time technical advisor focusing on Asia Pacific for two years. Eliza will carry out her duties as technical advisor alongside her duties as a clinical psychologist for the Hong Kong Red Cross and she will remain based in Hong Kong. This cost for this position is kindly supported by Hong Kong Red Cross.
